We are at the moment restoring a 1972 california import westfalia camper, the van has been stripped to a bare shell and has been fully detailed and is almost ready for paint,i will put a few detailed pics to show work in progress,the new owner can have some imput as to what they want at this stage,the van will be a stunning as new vehicle when completed with everything as new,its a fully complete 72 westy with rock and roll bed,wardrobe,sink unit buddy seat,elevatingroof.if you have seen our work you will know what the finished van will look like,you will not see the likes of a wolfsburg restoration anyware in the uk,we do know how to rebuild a bus,WE DO NOT CUT CORNERS,if your intrested please feelfree to call.
1971 Westfalia 4 berth looks and drive as new.SOLD
1971 westfalia with elevating roof,this van is a four berth with rock and roll bed,cab bunk in the front and a bed in the roof,we have stripped the bus right back as it was very dull from the strong sun in the us.the body was very streight and had no rust so was a super nice bus to paint,we replaced all the seals with new genuine german rubber no cheap repros on our vans,the interior was stripped we fitted a complete new headlining and all interior panels along with new flooring to give the interior a fresh new look,new curtains were also fitted with new under cab seat mats.the mechanicals have all been sorted engine removed and all gone through and resealed,new exhaust and heat exchangers along with clutch,new brakes and shocks were fitted so the bus is now ready for its new life with its new owners were ever they might be.
This van has been my own van since i imported it over 12 years ago,it was a one owner van used by a hotel to take guests to and from the hotel.i bought the samba from a german collector who only bought quality vans.the van has its original blue gray interior and was covered with seat covers from brand new so still in super condition.comes with original logbook and will come fully restored to our usual standards.the roof is as solid as when new no rot anyware,the body will be stripped and fully restored to as factory in the original livery of sealing wax red and beige gray.as far as sambas go this will be one of the best when finished,as its now in storage the only pics i have are on the projects page.i will add some pics of another 23 window we have just completed so that you can get the idea of what it could look like,it will be restored as original not lowered though.for any info on one of the best23 window sambas please get in touch,we could even fit a period devon style interior for camping if the seats dont suit your needs.THE PICS SHOWN ARE OF VANS WE HAVE RESTORED ANDD WORKED ON,THE RESTORED VAN IS ONE THAT HAS RECIEVED A FULL WOLFSBURG VW RESTORATION.
